Do the motors still work to fold the entire mirror housing in against the car and to move the mirror glass? On my past BMW's, the mirror itself would just pull (snap) out (with a bit of evenly applied force around its edges) and once out, it reveals screws inside holding parts of it together or clips that are holding the pieces together. Gotcha, ok, normally Auricom will chime in with instructions. Also, not sure if the turn light is available by itself! Honestly I need three things here:Ģ - turn light and the possibility of it being replaced by itself rather than the whole housingģ - DIY instructions or at least how to disassemble it Thanks Marty - I have already done that on real oem and yes the other stuff will buff out but I have no clue on how to disassemble the ring/mirror and then how to put it back. In terms of how to disassemble, I'm sure someone will post that. Then find the mirror and you will be able to get part numbers which you can plug in to Google or just go to your favorite parts site. Ugh, well, that will just buff right out, no worries Go here -> and find your Series, then as the menu's appear, keep selecting the proper one till you are presented with the part diagrams. I am quite handy myself so anything that can be done yourself I think I will be able to manage as long as it does not involve any major electrical work. Anybody have any ideas, tips, suggestions so that I can get this fixed as soon as possible. So I'm not sure if I need to replace the whole mirror or just the housing or just the outer ring and if the turn signal can be replaced as well. Luckily The glass is intact and no damage to the camera as well but as you can see in the picture the turn signal glass is broken and the housing ring is broken as well. I was backing in to my garage as I do every day over the last 15 years and for a split second I got distracted and my passenger side rear view mirror got caught up on the wall while backing in so it basically broke. So it is fair to say that I am having a shitty day because of my own carelessness.
